The other day in an amazing shop that’s full to the brim of second-hand wonders I bought an old photograph album. Its a little worse for wear and many of the pictures have come unstuck from the place they were first lovingly placed, but nonetheless it’s still such a great find. I can’t figure out how it came to be in a second-hand shop, and I find it quite sad that this book full of great memories and people’s lives didn’t belong to anyone until I found it.
It’s so fascinating looking through all of the photographs and trying to work out who everyone is and what they were doing. Although there are little annotations to the images they’ve become faded and almost impossible to read over time, so I have been making up my own descriptions.
There are some mysterious in the album, like the small picture of the little old man that has been cut in half. Why was it cut in half in the first place? And who has the other half?

Maybe he split from his wife and they shared the album...
