a visual treat

My wonderful friend Grace (http://petithandlebarmoustache.blogspot.com/) was lucky enough to visit the capital a few weeks ago and discover these beautiful works by Ximena Garrido-Lecca at the Saatchi Gallery. I can’t believe I’d never come across this artist before, I think her work is just mesmerising and I really wish I could go to London to see The Followers for myself. These shrine constructions seem like a wall of secrets and the objects found in each one are a representation of an individual – a three-dimensional portrait of a life that’s passed.
